The Care Unit Manager Role
As a Care Unit Manager with us, you will, together with a fellow manager, be part of a shared leadership model where you have personnel responsibility for nursing assistants and your fellow manager oversees nurses and physicians. The role includes employee and salary discussions as well as responsibility for workplace meetings. The role also includes development work with a focus on patient safety.
You are responsible for developing your employees' competence, creating a sense of security, and promoting a good work environment and positive workplace culture based on openness and participation. You also have overall responsibility for daily operations, including staffing on both a short and long-term basis. You work from the patient's needs and set direction for the operations, take responsibility, and create results in dialogue with your employees.
As a Care Unit Manager, you report directly to the Operations Manager and are part of the clinic's management team. The assignment requires you to feel responsibility for the operations as a whole and work toward good collaboration with other units within Region Jönköping County. You should be able to manage financial matters such as budgeting and monitoring the unit's finances together with the Operations Manager. Clinical work may also occur.
The position we offer is a permanent full-time employment with a start date by agreement.

Your Profile
To be a suitable candidate for the position, we believe you have relevant education in health care and previous experience in a leadership position. We also see that you have previous experience with care work in a hospital ward. You have documented experience in quality and improvement work, preferably with a focus on patient safety. If you also have education in these areas, we see that as an advantage.
Experience from rehabilitation operations and teamwork is also a merit, particularly in rehabilitation medicine. Good knowledge of English is desirable, and since the position involves travel, a valid driver's license (category B) is required.
To thrive in this role, you are a stable leader who creates engagement and participation. You drive the work forward with the patient's needs in focus and have a genuine interest in the development of the operations. Clarity and good communication are natural tools for you, and you work in a structured manner without losing flexibility when conditions change.
Since you will have close collaboration with both your fellow manager and the rest of the management team, it is very important that you enjoy collaborating and find it easy to see things from different perspectives. Motivating others and building strong teams comes naturally to you, because you understand that good results are created together.
