As a general medicine specialist in primary care at Hönö Health Center, you have a key role in the local community and contribute to making Öckerö Municipality a better place for people at all stages of life. We are a private health center with a contract with the Västra Götaland Region. We work with the goal of offering our patients high accessibility and continuity with strong generalist competence. We are about 20 employees working together to develop increasingly person-centered and accessible care. We are a health center undergoing change and development with a strong focus on patient interaction, and we set medical quality and patient safety as our highest priority. In a changing healthcare landscape, we prioritize based on patient needs and change our work methods when we see the need. For example, we are currently working to develop and improve approaches around continuous physician contact and patient-assigned physician. Our team consists of experienced nurses who operate their own clinics, a receptionist, a medical secretary, and nursing assistants who manage and develop our lab and specimen collection services. We want to strengthen our physician team and are looking for someone who is engaged and flexible as a general medicine specialist. Many of Hönö Health Center's patients are elderly, and we have approximately 150-200 patients in residential care facilities or receiving municipal primary care. The work tasks include physician clinics, drop-in hours, and supervision of physicians in training. You will have the opportunity to work with other colleagues to develop operations and participate in improvement and quality initiatives both at the health center and in connection with other healthcare services. We document in the Webdoc journal system. Currently, the health center has three specialist physicians, four ST physicians, and one junior physician. We have nearly 7,000 registered patients and work from a rural perspective as we are located in a municipality consisting of ten different islands. We are close to Gothenburg, which makes it easy to commute by car and public transportation. Our main facility is located in fine premises on Hönö, and we have a smaller clinic on Björkö that we keep open two days per week. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is a specialist in general medicine with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at C1 level are required. A driver's license (Category B) is required. You are confident in your professional role. You have an interest in working with a wide range of medical issues within a broad field. You see continuous, long-term clinic work as the best means to help patients achieve good health.
