The position is located within the Care and Services Department, one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Care and Services Department is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, healthcare, authority functions, procurement of services, and operates care and support services in-house. Your Responsibilities Within home care, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's daily lives. You work closely with our users and help them feel secure and continue to live as independently as possible in their own homes. The work is varied and involves meeting people with different needs, circumstances, and life situations, which makes every day both varied and meaningful. Your responsibilities are based on each individual's needs. This includes care work and personal hygiene, cleaning, laundry, simple meal preparation, and social interaction. The work also includes certain delegated healthcare tasks from nurses. The mobile phone is an important work tool where you see your scheduled visits and what services are to be performed. You also have contact with relatives and other parties. You also use digital systems for documentation. As a nursing assistant, you have the role of a designated care contact, which means you participate in welcome meetings where you plan support measures together with the individual. You are responsible for implementation plans and document in the Treserva system. You participate regularly in our collaboration meetings where both home healthcare nurses and physiotherapists and occupational therapists participate. Together you maintain a dialogue regarding your contact persons. Your Workplace Skäggetorp Security Housing is located in Skäggetorp center and has 35 apartments. The security housing has a gym for our users and access to a lunch restaurant. Home care is also provided in the surrounding area. We work with approximately 60 nursing assistants and care assistants together with two managers as well as coordinators and planners. Home healthcare nurses also work with us. Your working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend. Regular working hours are 07:00-16:00 and 13:00-22:00. You as a Candidate We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education, and it is meritorious if you are a trained nursing assistant. You should have previous experience working within care, support, and services. Work within elderly care involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means we require that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work. For this position, you need to be able to cycle. As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and advance your work. You also work well with other people and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have empathetic skills, which means you can put yourself in other people's perspectives and situations.
