The position is located within the Care and Services Administration, one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Care and Services Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical services, authority functions, procurement of services, and conducts care and services in-house. Welcome to us! Your Work Tasks Hjälmsäters Home Care Service is expanding! Our operations are currently in a development phase and have expanded by approximately 700 new home care hours, which means we need to strengthen our work team with more dedicated employees. With us, you have the opportunity to be part of a growing operation where your work makes a big difference for both service users and colleagues. As a care assistant or nursing assistant at Hjälmsäters Home Care Service, you work closely with service users in their homes and provide support and care based on each individual's needs according to IBIC. The day begins together with colleagues with report and planning, and then you work according to your scheduled route. The work consists of personal care, service tasks, and medical duties on delegation. You are attentive to changes in service users' health conditions and communicate with colleagues when adjustments to planning are needed. No two days are alike, which requires flexibility and the ability to meet different needs in daily life. The work often involves working independently in the service user's home. At the same time, there is always support from colleagues, coordinators, and supervisors. The mobile phone is an important work tool and is used for scheduling, documentation, and keyless home care access. Your Workplace Hjälmsäters Home Care Service has its personnel base at Hjälmsätersgatan 12, in a residential area with good bus connections and approximately 15–20 minutes' walk from Linköping city center. The operations conduct only home care services. The area is large but clearly defined, and work takes place in fixed routes within a limited part of the area. This creates continuity for service users and good opportunities to build relationships and detect changes at an early stage. You will become part of an experienced and stable work team of around 25 colleagues of mixed ages. The work team is described as supportive and tight-knit, and there is good experience in introducing new employees. Work hours are scheduled for daytime, evening, and weekends. The introduction is structured and includes both digital components and several introductory sessions with an experienced mentor. The delegation process is also an important part of the introduction. About You We are looking for someone with completed upper secondary education. It is an advantage if you are trained as a nursing assistant or specialist nursing assistant. It is also an advantage if you have experience working in care, support, and services. You communicate clearly in Swedish both verbally and in writing, have good computer skills, and can cycle as the work takes place within a larger geographical area. To thrive in the role, you need to be self-motivated and take responsibility for your work tasks. You collaborate well with others and contribute to a good working environment. You have empathetic ability and can put yourself in the service users' situations and needs. At the same time, you communicate clearly and ensure that information reaches both service users and colleagues.
