The position is located within the Health and Care Administration, one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, healthcare, authority functions, procurement of services, and manages care and support services in-house. Welcome to us! Your duties We are expanding our work team at Nykil home care! Are you the person we're looking for? Within home care, you provide support and care directly in people's homes. Here you have the opportunity to really make a difference and become a crucial part of someone's life, every day. You meet a wide variety of needs and challenges, which makes the work both varied and rewarding. Your duties are varied and based on each individual's needs. This includes nursing care and personal hygiene, cleaning, laundry, simple meal preparation, and social interaction. The work also includes certain delegated healthcare tasks from the nurse. The mobile phone is your primary work tool, showing which visits you have and what needs to be done. You also have contact with family members and other parties. Your commitment helps more people continue to live an independent life in their own home. Your workplace In April 2026, Linköping Municipality took over responsibility for home care and assisted living in Nykil. Here you can be part of developing and shaping the operation going forward. Nykil assisted living offers 24 apartments. Home care is provided in the assisted living facility and in the surrounding rural area around Nykil. Here you travel through the beautiful Östergötland countryside and contribute to supporting our residents in their daily lives. We currently have 22 nursing assistants and care assistants working with us. We see a need to expand the team to 28 colleagues to best meet the existing needs. Planners, coordinators, and an operations manager also work here. The operation also has access to home healthcare nurses and physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Your working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and every other weekend. Regular working hours are 07:00-16:00 and 13:00-22:00. What we're looking for We are looking for you with previous work experience in care and support. It is meritorious if you have completed upper secondary education or are trained as a nursing assistant. Work in elderly care involves a lot of contact with service users and documentation, which means it is a requirement that you can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have good computer skills and the ability to use digital tools in your work. You need to be able to cycle and have a class B driver's license. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with other people, listen and communicate clearly, and have the ability to adapt your communication style. It is also important that you have empathetic ability and can put yourself in the perspective and situation of others. You easily adapt to new circumstances and see opportunities in change.
