Renta is establishing a new depot at SSAB in Luleå and is now looking for a dedicated Mechanic to join our team! Are you a technically skilled and solution-oriented person who enjoys troubleshooting, diagnosing, and keeping machines running at peak performance? Then this role might be perfect for you! Your responsibilities: Perform repairs, service, and maintenance on various types of rental equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose both mechanical and electrical systems, as well as work with hydraulic and pneumatic components. Use both digital and analog diagnostic tools to quickly identify and fix technical problems. Inspect the external and internal functions of machines, including engine status, battery, hydraulic systems, and much more. Ensure that machines are in top condition before they are sent to customers. Document work in Renta's administrative system to manage work orders. Renta's customers build all sorts of things with our machines. Sometimes they come back intact, sometimes not. But what they always need is a little care and attention. You receive machines, assess their condition, service and repair them, and sometimes even handle emergency repairs on-site. You also help with depot setups and support the rest of the team, from renters to distributors. We all pitch in, because building is a team sport. We are looking for someone who has: A workshop background. A positive attitude, is outgoing and service-minded. Good technical knowledge in both mechanics and electronics, preferably with experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Good computer skills as you will work with various quotation and order management systems. A valid B driver's license is required. The ability to work independently, be flexible, and take great responsibility. As a Mechanic, you will be a valuable resource in Renta's team and will work closely with depot managers, order and transport staff, inside sales, and of course the workshop team. Merits: BE or B96 license and forklift certification are considered merits. Experience working with lifts, forklifts, or other large equipment. Hot work certification. Experience with diesel engines. Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting. Welding skills. Why Renta?
