About the Role and Your Responsibilities As a custodian, your primary task is to contribute to a well-functioning external and internal work environment for children, students, and staff at our preschools and schools. With a professional and service-oriented approach, the custodian will meet the facility's needs for support related to property maintenance. The duties are varied and include everything from alarm and lock management, waste handling and maintenance reporting, to furniture assembly and snow/ice removal. The custodian follows procedures for self-inspections and serves as a contact point with the property owner. The employee takes significant responsibility in systematic fire safety work. The temporary position is for three months, with the possibility of extension. About You We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education and previous experience from construction or property maintenance, as well as a B-class driver's license. It is meritorious if you have experience with fire safety and safety inspection work, as well as lock and alarm systems. Working hours are scheduled during regular facility hours, which requires you to be flexible and comfortable working with staff and children/students around you. You work independently in your role, but are also part of a work team where we naturally help each other when needed. As a custodian, you take professional pride in your work and perform your duties with great care and quality. You need to have basic digital skills. You also need good knowledge of the Swedish language to be able to understand both oral and written instructions. The position is currently located within the Service Area Center Lund, based at Järnåkraskolan. You and your colleagues perform your work at all units within the service area. Service Area Center Lund is part of the Local and Meal Department, whose main purpose is to ensure good service in kitchens and custodial work at the administration's preschools and schools.
