Job Responsibilities As a caretaker at a preschool-9 school, you are responsible for daily facility maintenance, minor repairs, lock and alarm systems, and contact with external contractors. You manage the school's outdoor environment, handle maintenance requests, and prepare facilities. Equally important is the daily work with students from preschool through grade 9, where you are a visible and trustworthy adult in hallways and on the schoolyard. By building positive relationships and meeting students with warmth, you contribute to a safe and pleasant school environment. Your commitment and positive approach are key to preventing vandalism and creating strong community spirit at the school. Qualifications A school caretaker has a central and multifaceted role in creating a safe, well-functioning, and pleasant environment for both students and staff. We are looking for someone with at least upper secondary education in facility management, construction and engineering, or other education we consider equivalent. You have good computer skills and feel comfortable with digital tools, as the position involves working in several different digital systems. You need strong social competence and a good ability to build trusting relationships and support individual students and small student groups during the school day.
