The Recreation Office, which is part of the Department of Education in Oskarshamn Municipality, is responsible for operating Arena Oskarshamn, Be-Ge Hockey Center, Ernemar Football Facility, swimming areas, youth unit, walking trails, and sports facilities. In total, we operate over thirty public facilities throughout the municipality. The largest facility is Arena Oskarshamn with nearly 500,000 visitors per year. Arena Oskarshamn is a recreation and sports facility in the center of town. Here you will find fantastic opportunities for exercise, recreation, and entertainment. The facility includes an ice hall, swimming hall, adventure pool, sports park, and gym adjacent to each other. The Recreation Office is entering a new and exciting phase with the construction of a training ice hall and the expansion and renovation of Be-Ge Hockey Center. We are now seeking employees who want to be part of this journey. 1 position(s). DUTIES Working as a Facilities Manager for us means you will work across all aspects of the Recreation Office's facilities. You will be responsible for supervision, maintenance, and troubleshooting repairs. A large portion of your time will be spent maintaining Arena Oskarshamn and Ernemar Football Facility. The remaining time will be spent on other facilities managed by the Recreation Office, including swimming areas, walking trails, outdoor gyms, and football fields. The Facilities Manager position offers varied and independent work with a high degree of trust. Our goal is to work in a structured manner with considerable autonomy. You will work with a cheerful and dedicated team that works hard toward our shared goals. You will work day shifts, evening shifts, and weekends. On-call duty may occur but is not included initially in the position. Both independent work and teamwork are part of the role. Duties include: • Maintenance and care of our facilities • Machine maintenance and operation of ice machines, lawnmowers, tractors, and small wheel loaders • Ice maintenance, grass care, and facility maintenance • Water treatment, machine maintenance, and cleaning • Facility operation through adjustment of set values and troubleshooting • Customer contact and service toward visitors and organizations QUALIFICATIONS We would like you to have education and/or experience with construction, operations, and/or maintenance work. Additional certifications such as ice maintenance, grass care, lift operation, machine operation, wheel loader operation, and certifications related to hazardous work are desirable. For this position, the following are required: • Experience • Class B driver's license • Wheel loader certificate (TYA or equivalent) • Good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written • Swimming proficiency Other requirements include experience operating machines such as tractors, wheel loaders, light trucks, etc. Experience from training or work as a Facilities Manager, machine operator, and/or in construction or carpentry work is advantageous. Wheel loader certification or equivalent facility machine certification and other machine operation certifications are also advantageous. We work in teams, which means you need to be able to collaborate with many different people while also being able to work independently. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, such as commitment and social skills. You can follow work instructions from start to finish and have experience documenting your work. You are pleasant in your interactions and take responsibility. Your employment will begin with an introduction and training period. Employment type: Permanent employment.
