The Swimming Pool and Camping Unit consists of Skantzö swimming pool and campground as well as Vallmobadet. Would you like one of the municipality's most varied and meaningful caretaker positions? Welcome to our swimming pool and camping operations in Hallstahammars Municipality! With us, you'll become a key person at two of the municipality's most valued destinations where we together create joy, security, and top-class service for both local residents and tourists. Your work will be divided between two unique environments: Vallmobadet in Kolbäck: A personal, warm, and family-friendly indoor swimming facility. Here we offer a swimming hall, children's pool, and an important rehabilitation section with a heated pool and adapted lifting equipment. During fall, winter, and spring, this is the hub for the municipality's recreational swimmers, water exercise enthusiasts, schools, and swimming clubs. Skantzö Swimming Pool & Camping: One of Mälardalen's most popular family campgrounds, open year-round and beautifully located surrounded by Strömsholm Canal, Skanssjön, and Kolbäcksån. During the summer season, the facility transforms into a thriving holiday paradise with camping plots, cottages, mini-golf courses, and the popular Skantzö swimming pool – a large outdoor pool with three heated pools, diving tower, and water slide. We who work here are an engaged and cheerful team consisting of lifeguards, receptionists, and technical staff. We are driven by delivering a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Since we handle everything from advanced purification equipment to the daily maintenance of green spaces and cottages, we value unpretentious collaboration where we always help each other. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a caretaker with us, you'll have a varied workday where no two days are the same, with a clear shift between the slightly quieter, steady operations at Vallmobadet and Skantzö camping during winter and the higher pace in the sun at Skantzö during summer when Skantzö swimming pool and camping has peak season. Work duties: Water Purification and Pool Equipment • Water Sampling & Chemical Handling: Daily monitoring and control of water quality. • Operation of Purification Systems: Maintenance and backflushing of filter systems, handling of automated water purification technology, and receipt of chemical deliveries. • Safety Equipment: Regular function checks of pumps, lifting equipment, diving towers, and water slides. Facility Maintenance & Cottage Upkeep • Fault Reports & Repairs: Resolve acute and planned problems indoors and outdoors. • Cottage Maintenance: Ongoing supervision, painting, carpentry, and repairs of the campground's various cottages. • Sustainability & Environment: Responsibility for maintenance and order around the facility's environmental stations. Ground Maintenance & Exterior Environment • Grass Mowing & Trimming: Mowing and maintenance of the campground's and swimming pool's large green areas. • Planting & Cleaning: Planting, weeding, emptying paper baskets, and maintenance of playgrounds, mini-golf, and sports areas. • Snow Removal & De-icing: Mechanical and manual snow removal and sanding during the winter months. Operational Support & Service • Cleaning & Hygiene: Periodic general cleaning and disinfection of swimming facility areas, saunas, changing rooms, and service buildings. • Guest Contact: Provide good service and meet guests, associations, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. • Cash handling and assistance with other operations as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience - Requirements: • Documented experience in facility maintenance. • Craft Skills: Practical knowledge within carpentry, painting, plumbing, or electrical work. • Driver's License: B-category license for manual transmission vehicles. • Physical Conditions: Good physical fitness, as the role involves physical work in varying weather conditions. • Language: Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing to document self-inspections (water purification) and communicate with guests and colleagues. • Service Orientation: Professional and service-oriented demeanor toward camping guests, swimming pool visitors, and associations. Meritorious: • Swimming Pool and Water Purification Technology: Education or practical experience in operation, chemical handling, and self-inspection of public pools/swimming facilities. • Machine Operating Competence: Experience operating riding mowers, tractors, or wheel loaders for snow removal and ground maintenance. • Technical Interest: Experience with digital fault reporting systems and building automation (control systems). • Safety: For example, First Aid and CPR certificates, Hot Work certificates, or other valuable certificates for the operation.
