Welcome to us! Your responsibilities As a custodian at Katedralskolan, you are responsible for maintenance and repairs, minor carpentry work, and moving and assembling furniture. Your responsibilities also include fire safety work, locks and alarms, facility rentals, purchasing, and some invoice handling. Work distribution is done by your supervisor based on current conditions, and you will support management and operations by providing excellent service in your area of responsibility. We offer varied tasks that include daily contact with staff and students, as well as contact with facility managers, guardians, and the public. We also want you to actively contribute to developing the custodian role so that operations become as efficient and effective as possible. Your workplace Katedralskolan is a centrally located upper secondary school with 1,350 students and 125 employees. We offer six different upper secondary programs: Economics, Sales and Service, Humanities, International Baccalaureate, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. About you We are looking for someone with upper secondary education with a practical focus or experience that the employer deems relevant for this position. If you have vocational training in building technology, we see that as an advantage. Lifting and certain heavy work tasks are part of the position. Previous experience working as a custodian in a school or other facility management is advantageous, as is experience with basic system administration and working with different types of IT environments and AV systems. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of fire safety, locks and alarms, purchasing and invoice handling, and workplace safety. You have excellent cooperation and service skills, work independently, and take great personal responsibility for your area. You are committed to making correct assessments and prioritizations. You are organized and prioritize activities with care and integrity. You see what needs to be done and take responsibility for completing tasks in the best way possible.
