Custodian/Maintenance Worker

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to standard custodial duties such as minor construction and painting work, moving assistance, snow removal, de-icing, and similar tasks, you will be responsible for our waste management areas. You will be the municipality's contact person regarding transport, logistics, and orders to our waste management contractors. The position also includes some custodial work in the municipality's large kitchen. The tasks involved may include heavy lifting and working at heights. You will receive incoming work orders and independently plan your assignments. On-call duty may be required. Shifted working hours may occur. QUALIFICATIONS To thrive in this role with us, you need to be a versatile person with broad competence. You need to be solution-oriented and see opportunities in problems that arise. You enjoy independently organizing and planning your day but also working collaboratively with others. You need to be flexible and able to reschedule your workday on short notice in coordination with your responsible supervisor. In the facilities where you work, in addition to other staff, there are also children and young people, which means you must be skilled at interacting professionally with people of different ages. You find it easy to build good relationships and communicate in a positive and clear manner. Heavy lifting occurs regularly, which requires good physical fitness. Several years of work experience in a practical trade is a requirement. Good Swedish in speech and writing, as well as a valid Class B driver's license, is a requirement. Of course, you must have good computer skills. It is desirable that you have lift training and experience working at heights. A police background check is required. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Employment Type: Permanent position. Duration: Start date by agreement.
