Requirements for candidates:
education in accordance with requirements set out in the Education Law and Cabinet of Ministers regulations regarding required education and professional qualifications for pedagogues and continuing professional development procedures;
at least three years of pedagogical work experience in the field of general education;
no less than two years of experience in education management or management work in the education sector; experience in managing a general education institution is considered an advantage;
knowledge of the state language at the highest level and knowledge of at least one official language of the European Union to the extent necessary for professional activities (foreign language requirement is set out in Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 496 of 19.08.2014, Section 5.3);
knowledge of education quality management, institutional financing and budget planning issues;
knowledge of regulatory acts governing the activities of educational institutions, state and municipal education development priorities;
management skills, ability to motivate employees and work in a team;
good communication, cooperation and presentation skills, ability to publicly express your own and the institution's views;
good skills in working with information and communication technologies.
Documents - a motivated application, CV, copies of documents confirming education and qualifications, state language proficiency certificate (if necessary), a vision for the development directions of Riga School No. 96, key priorities and proposals for their implementation (up to two A4 pages in printed text), a confirmation that the candidate is not subject to restrictions set out in the Education Law and the Child Rights Protection Law for working as a pedagogue (found in the competition regulations appendix), and preferably references must be submitted by August 25, 2026 (inclusive) with the indication "Application for the position of educational institution director" by sending to the e-mail address [email protected] or to an official electronic address, signed with a secure electronic signature, in one EDOC format package, the size of which must not exceed 25 MB, or by mail to: Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5, Riga, LV-1010, or in person at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5, Riga (by prior appointment by phone 67026806).
