Director of a Riga City Municipality educational institution -
Rīgas Anniņmuižas Jaunās pamatskolas Director

Requirements for candidates:
education in accordance with the requirements set out in the Education Law and Cabinet Regulations regarding the necessary education and professional qualifications of pedagogues and the professional development procedure;
at least three years of pedagogical work experience in the field of general education;
no less than two years of experience in educational management or management in the education sector; experience in managing a general education institution is considered an advantage;
state language proficiency at the highest level and proficiency in at least one official language of the European Union to the extent necessary for professional activities (language requirement specified in Cabinet Regulation No. 496 of 19.08.2014, Section 5.3);
knowledge of education quality management, institution financing, and budget planning;
knowledge of regulatory acts governing the operation of educational institutions, state and municipal education development priorities;
management skills, ability to motivate employees and work in a team;
excellent communication, cooperation, and presentation skills, and the ability to publicly express your own and the institution's views;
strong skills in working with information and communication technology.
Documents - a motivated application, CV, copies of documents confirming education and qualifications, state language proficiency certificate (if necessary), a vision for the development directions of Rīgas Anniņmuižas Jaunās pamatskolas, the most important priorities and proposals for their implementation (up to two A4 pages typed), a certificate that the candidate is not subject to restrictions specified in the Education Law and the Child Rights Protection Law for working as a pedagogue (found in the competition regulations appendix), and preferably references should be submitted by August 25, 2026 (inclusive) with the notation "Application for the position of educational institution director" by sending to the email address [email protected] or the official electronic address signed with a secure electronic signature in one EDOC format package not exceeding 25 MB in size, or by mail to: Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela 5, Riga, LV-1010, or in person at Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela 5, Riga (please call ahead at 67026806).
