About the role of VA Technician with Electrical Authorization: As a VA technician with electrical authorization, you are responsible for operation, supervision, maintenance, troubleshooting, and development of water and wastewater facilities—including water treatment plants, purification plants, pump stations, and pipe networks. You also handle electrical work, control and automation systems, as well as SCADA/PLC control. Responsibilities Perform operation, maintenance, and self-inspection of water and wastewater facilities Troubleshooting and quality control of processes and electrical/control systems Carry out electrical work according to electrical authorization (minimum Authorization B) Handle urgent operational disruptions and work on standby according to schedule Participate in projects such as new installations or renovations Collaboration with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers Documentation and reporting via operation and maintenance systems Work according to procedures for occupational safety, safety, and environmental legislation Qualifications Secondary or vocational training in water/wastewater, electrical, or technical fields Electrical authorization: Authorization B/AL or equivalent Experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting B-category driving license Swedish in speech and writing, good computer skills Meritorious Experience in process control / SCADA systems Experience in water and wastewater Personal Qualities Self-directed, responsible, and technically interested Problem-solving, initiative-taking, and flexible Service-oriented with good collaboration skills Thorough and driven in your work approach We Offer An independent and developmental job Opportunity for further training in water and wastewater Active participation in socially relevant projects LAVAB is a municipally-owned, tax-financed company with a focus on sustainability Committed colleagues with a focus on safe working environment and development The position is placed in a socially important operation, which means that in the event of extraordinary circumstances, you are expected to perform your regular duties as part of the emergency preparedness responsibility.
