Are you looking for a meaningful engineering job in a socially important operation where your expertise makes a real difference? We are now seeking a water and sewage engineer with a focus on pipe networks – a role where you make a real difference for both today's and tomorrow's society.
At Lumire, you become part of an engaged team developing solutions for a growing and sustainable Luleå. Here you get to create long-term solutions that make a real difference – for both the environment and society.
Lumire, Luleå Environmental Resources AB, is a municipal company for water and sewage, waste management, recycling and reuse. We are approximately 240 employees ensuring that all Luleå residents have access to clean drinking water and that waste and sewage are handled in a sustainable and circular way.
By combining water and waste issues in the same company, we are a strong player in environmental technology and urban development – and an important part of the green transition in Luleå.
About the role
Luleå is facing extensive urban development with major expansion plans in both industry and residential construction. This means many exciting and complex challenges in the water and sewage field.
As a water and sewage engineer at us, you work with water and sewage projects from early investigation stages to completed facilities. In the early phases, you are responsible for investigating, analyzing and proposing appropriate technical solutions. As projects move forward to design and construction phases, you participate as the technical manager and as support to the project manager.
In the role you will, among other things:
Handle water, wastewater and stormwater investigations
Be project and technical manager in various types of water and sewage projects
Manage and monitor water and sewage issues in early stages of the planning and building process
Design and dimension water, wastewater and stormwater systems including pump stations and pressure boosting systems
You become part of Lumire's development section, where you get a role where you both influence direction and implement ideas into practical solutions.
You become part of an operation with a clear focus on development, innovation and collaboration.
Lumire participates in several research projects and has close collaboration with Luleå University of Technology. We are part of, among other things, the research cluster Day & Network, the competence center Drizzle and the innovation program Water Wise Societies.
With us, you get the opportunity to stay at the forefront of technology and contribute to future sustainable water and sewage solutions.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have several years of experience in the water and sewage field or equivalent in another sector and want to drive development forward.
We see that you have:
technical college or university education relevant for the position, or other education/experience deemed equivalent
experience from the water and sewage field or related operations
It is meritorious if you have experience in any of these:
municipal water and sewage operations or project-based work as a consultant, client or contractor
investigation and design within the water and sewage field and experience with hydraulic dimensioning of water, wastewater and stormwater
experience with design and dimensioning of pump and piping systems in industry or similar
experience with land project planning
good understanding of planning processes
As a person, you are driven, structured and enjoy a role where you take responsibility and collaborate with others. You actively contribute to discussions and see the bigger picture in complex issues.
You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
Category B driving license is required for the position.
Do you want to become an environmental resource?
With us, you work with some of society's most important functions – clean drinking water and sustainable handling of waste and sewage.

We offer you:
