is seeking a
NUTRITION SPECIALIST.
Project Objective:
The project aims to provide children with behavioral and addiction problems, as well as their families, with individually tailored, comprehensive support based on collaboration among specialists from various fields. This allows families to receive necessary assistance in a timely and coordinated manner in one place.
Service provision period from November 2026 to August 2029.
Main Responsibilities:
Service delivery:
Provides support and consultations in accordance with the developed Support Plan, ensures consultations for children and caregivers on healthy and balanced nutrition, develops and adapts individual nutrition plans. After the consultation cycle, prepares recommendations for the child and caregiver and submits them to the social worker of the service.
Attends supervision sessions (1× per month), participates in team meetings (1× per month) and engages in professional development activities. Complies with ethics, data protection, and confidentiality principles in work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (first cycle higher education) in nutrition science (Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 617 - section 4.7).
- Registration in the State Register of Healthcare Professionals and the Register of Healthcare Support Persons in accordance with regulatory requirements;
- Experience in the previous three years performing professional nutrition specialist work with children or families (at least 24 months of combined work experience).
Project Implementation Location:
Daugavpils city municipality institution "Social Service" in cooperation with the foundation "Latvia Children Support Fund" and the association "Resiliences Centre".
Compensation: 50 euro/consultation.
