UX Designer, Design System, Accessibility
We are seeking a UX Designer for Försäkringskassan's design system in Karlskrona. You will be a central part of creating components, design patterns, and working methods for Försäkringskassan's digital interfaces. Your focus will be to ensure that solutions are built on solid user insights, clear design principles, and a high level of accessibility. Your responsibilities include creating alignment around design direction, supporting other designers, and helping to raise design maturity across the organization. You will create the conditions for our development teams to build faster, smarter, and more consistently. What you do directly contributes to a better experience for users across all our digital services.
You will join a cross-functional, distributed team with specialized expertise in web development and UX design. The team has significant responsibility for how we design and develop interfaces at Försäkringskassan. We deliver multiple solutions, both within Försäkringskassan and to other government agencies, to facilitate design and development.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have a good understanding that design work requires close collaboration between technology, operations, and design. You are a communicative person who thrives collaborating with different roles in a cross-functional context. Since you will have many contact points, it's important that you can argue for your design choices and solutions while being receptive and open to others' input and feedback.
The position involves handling confidential information, which requires high standards for proper handling. Therefore, it's important that you, working for us, have strong security awareness.

We are looking for someone who
has a higher education degree or experience and qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent
is a UX designer with experience working with design systems
has a good understanding of component-based design and development
has knowledge of digital accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive design
acts on own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
has good communication skills, both oral and written
can understand and analyze complex issues
has a systematic and thorough work approach
has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is a merit if you
have experience driving design work for complex internal systems or case management support
have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
have experience working with open source
have experience working with Försäkringskassan's user interface.

Other Information
A permanent, full-time position, with start date by agreement. Probation may apply. Certain positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive operations. To be hired for such a position, you must pass a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
