UX Designer

We are seeking a UX Designer for an exciting government agency assignment. Assignment Description We are looking for a UX designer to lead and develop UX and UI work with a focus on user-centered design of digital products and services. You will work throughout the entire design process – from early needs analysis, ideation, and concept development to finished design and design documentation. You will transform complex business and user needs into clear, intuitive, and user-friendly digital experiences. The work involves close collaboration with users, requirements analysts, developers, and other relevant stakeholders in cross-functional and agile teams. The role includes, among other things: - Lead UX and UI work from idea and concept to finished design and design documentation, - Plan and conduct user interviews, usability tests, and workshops, - Identify and analyze user needs and translate insights into concrete design solutions, - Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces, - Ensure a cohesive and user-friendly experience throughout the digital product, - Collaborate closely with requirements analysts, developers, product owners, and other teams using agile methods, - Contribute to the further development, maintenance, and quality assurance of the organization's design system, - Ensure that design solutions are feasible, scalable, and adapted to relevant requirements such as accessibility. The role entails overall responsibility for the design perspective and is expected to contribute both strategically and operatively in the development of the digital platform. Mandatory Requirements - At least 9 years of documented experience in both strategic and operational UX/UI work for digital products and services. - Documented experience analyzing and solving complex user and design problems in digital product development. - Current experience with established UX/UI and prototyping tools, such as Sketch, Axure, Figma, or equivalent. - Documented experience applying digital accessibility principles, including WCAG, in digital product development. - Documented experience working in agile and cross-functional teams, in close collaboration with developers, requirements analysts, and product owners. - Strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. Desirable Competencies - Experience establishing, developing, and advancing design systems for digital products or services. - Basic understanding of front-end development, such as HTML and CSS. - Experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting colleagues in UX/UI and user-centered design. - Experience actively contributing to knowledge sharing and competency development within a team or organization. - Experience leading or coordinating UX/UI work in cross-functional teams. - Experience with user research, such as interviews, usability tests, and workshops. - Experience translating user and business needs into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces.
