As a development strategist, you hold a central and strategically important role in the municipality's continued development journey. You work as a strategic partner to the municipal director's management group and contribute to developing the municipality as a whole by strengthening governance, collaboration, and long-term improvement capacity. Together with municipal management and departments, you create conditions for shared direction, continuous improvements, and foundations for well-founded decisions. The position is located at the municipal administration office with the municipal director as your immediate supervisor. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS The role offers considerable scope for action and good opportunities to influence the municipality's long-term development. The position is also of central importance in translating the strategic plan into concrete initiatives and following up to ensure that what is implemented leads to desired results for the municipality and our residents. In the assignment, you combine a strategic perspective with close collaboration with the departments. The municipality's quality group is available to support your work. The assignment involves a particular responsibility for ensuring that strategic goal work leads to increased benefit for residents. You do this by: • Monitoring the external environment and identifying trends, opportunities, and future needs. • Coordinating and strengthening work with the municipality's strategic plan and its prioritized goal areas – growth, safety, and public health. • Developing methods for monitoring, analysis, and governance. • Analyzing, following up, and evaluating results and effects for learning and improvement. • Evaluating results and effects and preparing decision-making materials, analyses, and investigations for municipal management and politics. • Supporting departments in matters concerning governance and goal monitoring. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who want to use your analytical ability and development drive to create real value in an operation that impacts people's daily lives. You have a higher education or university degree relevant to the employer. You have experience working with strategic development and quality work, business management, analysis, or project management. It is also meritorious if your experience is from a politically governed organization. Regardless of background, you have a strong interest in understanding complex contexts, identifying development opportunities, and translating ideas into concrete results. To succeed in this role, you need to be analytical, structured, driven, and self-directed. You find it easy to build trust, collaborate with different actors, and translate complex questions into clear conclusions and concrete improvements. You communicate well in both speech and writing and are motivated by contributing to development and results. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Start date: According to agreement.
