Ref: 20261603 Do you want to help direct, challenge, and strengthen the development force in Malmö for increased safety and sustainability? We are seeking a development coordinator who wants to contribute to coordinating and strengthening the city's crime prevention efforts, with a particular focus on ANDTS. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will work with your colleagues on the overall coordination and further development of the city's crime prevention and ANDTS work. You contribute to creating long-term, systematic, and cohesive efforts within the field through close collaboration with the city's operations and external stakeholders. In the role, you work to develop structures, working methods, and strategies where preventive and promotive perspectives are integrated into the daily operations of the city's services. You prepare analyses, planning and follow-up materials, and contribute to the management and development of the city's efforts from a holistic perspective. You monitor developments in the field and translate knowledge into well-founded decision-making materials that advance the work. This includes preparing referrals, motions, and other matters for the City Executive Board. Collaboration is an integral part of the role. You initiate and lead networks, drive training and information initiatives, and work in close dialogue with stakeholders at local, regional, national, and international levels. As a representative of Malmö City, you represent the organization in various contexts where you present information and engage in dialogues on matters related to the city's work in this field, in both Swedish and English. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a holistic perspective and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex issues and implement them in practice. You are organized, self-driven, and advance your work with a focus on goals and results, while managing and driving multiple processes in parallel. You are relationship-oriented and thrive in a role with many contact points. You recognize the value of networks and are committed to maintaining relationships. You communicate clearly, adapt your message to your audience, and feel comfortable representing Malmö City in both small and large settings. We are looking for someone with: an academic degree in fields such as behavioral science, public health, political science, criminology, law, or another discipline that the employer deems equivalent. Alternatively, a validated foreign equivalent to any of the above. multiple years of current work experience in public sector operations within a similar work area as described in this posting. experience independently driving and coordinating assignments in large organizations with many stakeholders. experience with analysis, planning, and follow-up work at the organizational level. documented experience writing reports, compiling, and communicating information. strong knowledge of relevant legislation in the field. very good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. good proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Word, PowerPoint, or equivalent. It is advantageous if you have: knowledge of other languages spoken in Malmö. About the Workplace The Sustainability Department at City Hall leads, coordinates, and oversees the city's work in areas including sustainability, rights issues, local development, security, preparedness, and safety. Within the department, the Security and Preparedness Unit is responsible for developing and monitoring the city's work in the areas of security, preparedness, and crime prevention at the overall level. The unit is responsible for, among other things, overall security and operational protection work, leading the city's management of unwanted events, event security, the duty officer function, internal control, and the city's insurance coverage. City Hall directs, challenges, and strengthens the development force in the organization, in the city, and in the region. We are the City Executive Board's authority and work with a holistic perspective close to the city's leadership. City Hall comprises seven different departments and employs approximately 300 people in total. Our departments work across a broad spectrum of areas, and the authority has many employees with high specialist expertise. Malmö City's operations are organized into 14 authorities.
