We are now seeking a driven preparedness and security coordinator. Your position will be in a development-oriented unit within the Facilities and Leasing Department at the Service Administration. Your role As a preparedness and security coordinator at the Service Administration, you are responsible for coordinating, developing, and following up on the administration's own security and preparedness work, as well as the city-wide aspects of preparedness work in which the administration participates. This is work with a high pace of change, and you will be part of Stockholm's increased capacity to handle serious situations. The role also includes coordinating the administration's security and safety work, which includes work with personal security, undue influence, and welfare crimes. You will be an important player in translating activities and directives from our stakeholders into implementable plans. The role requires you to switch between operational and strategic work, short-term and long-term – always with the goal of building robustness in the municipal organization. In this role, you will, among other things: Coordinate and develop the Service Administration's work on civil preparedness and crisis readiness. Project lead the Service Administration's assignment related to the city's central emergency supply storage (CBL). Drive development projects. Coordinate the Service Administration's participation in the City of Stockholm's sector organization for civil preparedness and other preparedness work. Participate in various sectors within the sector organization for civil preparedness as needed. Manage the Service Administration's contacts with the City Executive Office's security department. Participate in developing the city's total defense planning by representing the Service Administration in joint sector cooperation groups. Plan, implement, and evaluate training and exercises. Coordinate work with policy documents and procedures in the field. Participate in the Service Administration's crisis management organization. Participate in developing the Service Administration's continuity management and capacity to maintain societal-critical operations. Monitor developments in the field and translate new requirements and conditions into local operations. Your competence and experience We are looking for someone who has: Relevant education for the position, from a university or college, for example in security, crisis management, social science, or other areas that the employer deems equivalent worked in a relevant role with a focus on preparedness and crisis management, for example as an investigator, strategist, or security or preparedness coordinator excellent ability to communicate in both speech and writing Swedish citizenship It is meritorious if you have experience with: experience working with preparedness and/or civil defense matters within municipal operations knowledge of the City of Stockholm's organization and conditions trained personnel in security and/or preparedness-related matters Personal skills and competencies Since the work involves coordinating many different actors, it is important that you are relationship-building and have pedagogical ability to convey serious messages in a trustworthy way, and you are comfortable communicating even when the message is important or difficult. You convey information in a clear and calm manner, with humility and responsiveness to the recipient's perspective. You have the ability to create understanding and capacity for action without creating unnecessary anxiety – and you know that good communication is as much about how we say something as what we say. A central principle for succeeding in the role of preparedness and security coordinator is that the measures taken should also make the city better in everyday life.
