About the Department
Would you like to contribute to safer healthcare? We are now seeking staff members for our department. Here you will work strategically, with a development-oriented approach and close to care operations, with a clear focus on improved patient safety throughout the region.
The Patient Safety Department has a regional mandate to develop and drive patient safety initiatives. Through collaboration, we offer healthcare operations support, structure, guidance, and inspiration - all with the goal of creating a safe and secure healthcare experience for patients.
We support the line organization on behalf of the Health and Medical Care Director, division management, and other stakeholders such as IVO, the National Board of Health and Welfare, and the governance organization. Collaboration also occurs with other safety areas, such as Healthcare Hygiene, Medical Technology, and the Patient Board. We work closely with health and medical care leadership and chief physicians on matters concerning the overall patient safety initiatives in healthcare.
Responsibilities
As a Development Leader, you will work with systematic patient safety initiatives at the healthcare-wide level. This includes:
- Supporting operations in patient safety matters and risk prevention approaches
- Conducting and providing support in risk and incident analyses as well as investigations of medical injuries
- Conducting training and disseminating knowledge through environmental monitoring
- Maintaining dialogue with operations and supporting follow-up regarding patient safety matters
- Participating in regional synergy administration. You work continuously in the Synergi system, contribute to its development, and support operations in its use
- Carrying out assignments mandated by other authorities such as the National Board of Health and Welfare, IVO, SKR
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Registered nurse, physiotherapist, or other university/college education
- Knowledge and experience with patient safety work at the department or clinic level
- Driver's license category B
Meritorious
- Experience conducting investigations of medical injuries/incident analyses
- Experience conducting risk analyses
- Experience planning and conducting training
- Good system knowledge in Synergi and experience developing work methods and outputs in the system
Personal Qualities
You are analytical, pedagogical, and have good collaboration skills. You thrive in a supportive role, enjoy working in a structured manner, and have a strong drive to contribute to healthcare development. You are attentive and have the ability to adapt support measures to the specific needs of the target group.
