Job Responsibilities City Properties Administration is responsible for ensuring the sustainable usability of properties over time with good technical status and satisfied tenants. This is achieved through close collaboration with tenants, other departments of the administration, partners and other organizations in the city. We are in an exciting development phase where the security unit is part of the Development and Governance department. The unit consists of approximately ten employees working with civil defense, bomb shelters, drones, protective shielding, electrical safety, security systems and insurance. The unit is in an upgrade phase where civil defense issues are increasing and we work in close cooperation with the City Management Office. Development Leader for Security and Preparedness We are now seeking a results-driven development leader to join our team within security and preparedness – a role where you will have the opportunity to make a real contribution to society and strengthen our ability to meet future security challenges. You will be an important player in our work to develop and ensure the highest possible security and preparedness, which is crucial for both society and our internal operations. As a development leader, you will work in a team responsible for crisis management, security systems, crime prevention, continuity management, bomb shelters, preparedness planning and physical protection. The particular focus of this position is working with security systems and physical protection, personal security and crisis management. In your role as development leader, you will support management by conducting investigations and providing service reports. You will conduct comprehensive environmental monitoring within the security field and contribute to developing the use of communication systems and information management systems within the security area, as well as provide internal training. You will participate in networks within the city and be responsible for developing and updating governing documents in this area. Within security systems, you will work with procedures and monitoring and physical protection within security systems. When needed, you will perform other tasks based on the competencies and experience required by the employer. Other Job Responsibilities • Participate in collaboration projects concerning security issues for multiple administrations within the City of Gothenburg • Together with other unit members, drive and develop the administration's security work according to the City of Gothenburg's guidelines • Monitor the external environment, follow government requirements and industry developments • Develop our crisis management Qualifications We are looking for you who have relevant post-secondary education in, for example, civil defense, physical security, security systems and crisis management. To succeed in this role, you need to have: • Several years of professional experience in this field, with a requirement that you have worked with similar tasks previously within public administration • Good experience with crisis management and preparedness issues as well as physical security • Experience with continuity management and risk management • Knowledge of legislation regarding civil defense • Experience with security systems You have a strong and genuine interest in security issues, the ability to handle complex security challenges and a drive to actively contribute to strengthening our resilience and supply security. You work in a results-oriented and structured manner, with a good ability to prioritize and deliver solutions across different matters and issues. With an independent and solution-oriented approach, you tackle tasks efficiently and have good administrative and written skills. As a person, you are structured and analytical with a solution-focused approach. You have good communication skills in both speech and writing. Thinking and acting long-term and strategically on these issues is self-evident to you. You collaborate well with other people. Other Information This position may be subject to security clearance.
