Description Do you want to help shape the future of digital learning environments in Gothenburg's municipal schools? We are seeking two development managers who want to make a difference for students and staff by developing modern, accessible, and reliable digital solutions. As a development manager, you work strategically and operationally at the intersection of operations and technology. You drive development, coordination, and follow-up, and translate the organization's needs into sustainable digital solutions. Together with school leaders, educators, the city's IT functions, and external partners, you create the conditions for a well-functioning digital school environment that strengthens teaching, learning, and equity. With us, you become part of the Administrative Support and Services unit, which leads, develops, and coordinates work with administrative processes, business systems, and digital tools. The unit consists of administrators, systems managers, and development managers who work together to create good conditions for schools' operations. Work Tasks In this role, you work to develop and coordinate the municipality's digital learning environments, which includes student computers, AV technology in classrooms, digital platforms, and long-term development of schools' technical capabilities. You drive development initiatives from needs analysis and planning through implementation, follow-up, and further development. You will, among other things: be responsible for requirements specification, procurement, and follow-up of digital tools and technical solutions represent the organization's needs in dialogue with the city's IT function, suppliers, and other partners coordinate lifecycle management of digital equipment and promote sustainable and cost-effective approaches develop and manage the school's digital platforms, with a particular focus on Google Workspace for Education provide operational support on matters related to digital tools and services participate in planning technical learning environments and AV solutions for new and renovated schools represent the department in city-wide forums, networks, and collaboration groups Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: University education in pedagogy, IT, or another area that the employer deems relevant Experience working in or close to the school system and a good understanding of educational organizations' needs for digital tools Experience collaborating with suppliers or other external actors, such as requirements specification and follow-up Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing It is advantageous if you have: Experience with public procurement (LOU) Education or further study in information and communication technology (ICT) Experience with lifecycle management of digital equipment in larger organizations Experience leading projects or working groups Experience with Google Workspace for Education Experience using AI-based tools for business development, analysis, or efficiency improvement To succeed in this role, you are structured, proactive, and have a good ability to build trusting collaborations. You can switch between the school's daily operations and strategic perspectives and translate ideas and needs into concrete results. You work independently and take responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and following up on your work. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating with others and creating engagement around shared goals. Since the role involves many contact points, you are communicative, attentive, and skilled at building long-term relationships. You have a solution-oriented approach and see opportunities in change.
