Development Engineer, temporary position, Boliden Rönnskär, Skelleftehamn Do you want to test your engineering skills in practice – and at the same time get a foot in the industry? We are now seeking a Development Engineer for a shorter temporary assignment at Rönnskär. Here you will work closely with both production and development, with tasks tailored to your profile and strengths. Perfect for you who are studying or have recently graduated and want to gain practical experience quickly. The temporary position is available for immediate start and runs through the end of the year. Your Role As a temporary Development Engineer, you will work with analyses, improvements, and smaller development initiatives within areas such as metallurgy, process engineering, automation, or digitalization. You will quickly gain your own responsibility and work independently on your tasks, with support from colleagues when needed. The role includes both practical and theoretical elements and provides broad insight into the operations. Working hours: daytime, Monday to Friday. You will work mainly on-site to learn and contribute to the business, with the possibility of some flexibility regarding remote work. Your Team You will become part of the Section for Process Development, Energy, Automation, and Digitalization and collaborate closely with both colleagues and production. The team is characterized by openness, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. You may work on developing and improving our metallurgical processes our digital system support for production, maintenance, and materials handling our energy systems through energy mapping and targeted improvements tracking of CO₂ and emission allowances our operations with new automation solutions Your Contribution We believe that you are curious, solution-oriented, and like to take initiative. You dare to test, ask questions, and learn along the way. Since the role is a shorter temporary assignment, you need to be able to get up to speed quickly and take responsibility for your tasks. We are looking for someone who has: Started or completed an engineering degree in chemistry, metallurgy, energy, automation, or data Knowledge within areas such as process, energy, automation, or data/AI Good knowledge of Swedish or English Meritorious: Experience from industry, such as summer jobs or internships Why Work With Us?
