Your responsibilities – contributing to a sustainable, robust, and competitive energy system To strengthen our work, we are now looking for an investigation leader who wants to take a key role in developing the agency's knowledge base on energy system development. You lead and drive strategically important investigations of great significance for energy and climate policy as well as for the development of a sustainable, robust, and competitive energy system. The investigations can, for example, concern energy policy objectives and policy instruments, consequences of different choices, development of energy markets, impacts of external factors on the energy system, and the interaction between different parts of the energy system. In this role, you will coordinate and integrate knowledge from experts within different operational areas. You identify and analyze strategic questions, weigh different perspectives, and translate complex relationships into well-founded conclusions and recommendations. You also contribute to developing the agency's analysis and investigation work and ensure high quality in the knowledge materials that are produced. Through your work, you develop the knowledge materials that form the basis for the government's and other decision-makers' work in shaping the future sustainable, robust, and competitive energy system. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: An academic degree relevant to the position, for example in national economics, civil engineering, political science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Several years of relevant work experience in qualified work within the energy sector. Experience leading, planning, coordinating, and taking responsibility for investigations or other complex analysis assignments. Knowledge of the Swedish energy system, its different parts, challenges, and development issues. Good knowledge of Swedish and European energy policy. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Good knowledge of modern IT systems and programs. It is advantageous if you have: A good understanding of how different parts of the energy system interact and interact with the rest of society. Work experience from a government agency or other public sector organization.
