Analyst/Accounting Economist - Work with the State's Annual Report

Are you an accounting economist with a strong interest in public economics and government administration? Do you have experience with state accounting and financial closing work, as well as an interest in systems work and want to work with the state's annual report? We are now recruiting a qualified analyst to our State Accounting unit! Your Role and Responsibilities As an analyst with us, you will work in the annual report team with compilation, monitoring, and analysis of the total outcome in the state's income statement, balance sheet, and financing analysis based on reporting from state agencies in the Hermes system. The work includes, among other things, quality assurance of agency reporting and investigation of accounting issues. Agency reporting is consolidated in the Cognos consolidation accounting system. The position includes system responsibility for Cognos, which involves collaboration with both our IT department and external consultants. The position includes, in addition to annual compilation of the state's income statement, balance sheet, and financing analysis, investigation of questions that arise during the work or otherwise affect the state annual report process. Further development of processes and working methods with a focus on system solutions is part of the position. Work with remittances and government assignments as well as other tasks may also occur. You will work independently but also to a large extent discuss and collaborate with your colleagues in the unit and in other departments. The role includes contact with agencies, the Government Offices, and other stakeholders in the state. The unit, which currently consists of 14 people, is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and commenting on the outcome of the state's economy monthly, quarterly, and annually. We also provide the basis for the state's financial savings in the National Accounts, which is forwarded to the EU's statistical body Eurostat via Statistics Sweden (SCB). System issues and the state accounting organization are also within the unit's responsibility. The unit is part of the Results and Forecasting Department. Your Background and Expertise We are looking for you who have completed academic education in economics, preferably with a specialization in accounting. You have experience working with state accounting, financial closing, and annual reports. You have experience with and interest in systems work. You have a strong interest in public economics. The work involves presenting and explaining outcomes both in writing and orally, which is why it is important that you have very good communication skills and express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish. You need to have very good knowledge of Word/Excel and good experience with applying digital working methods. It is an advantage if you have experience from reporting in the state accounting system Hermes. Your Personal Qualities We are looking for you with very good analytical problem-solving ability.
