MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION The Municipal Administration consists of several central support functions including communication, office, administration, HR, finance, food services, IT, security, as well as investigation and analysis. The Investigation Unit is a small and dynamic team that works closely with municipal leadership and politics. We have a broad area of responsibility encompassing the entire municipal mandate. RESPONSIBILITIES As an investigator/analyst, you work with qualified investigation and preparation work for decisions in municipal leadership, municipal board, and municipal council. You work closely and on assignment from both municipal leadership and politics, and collaborate in handling cases with the investigation director. Your work consists mainly of analysis, text production, and reporting on strategic and overarching issues. This can involve municipality-wide governance, organizational and environmental analyses, operations development, and politically initiated investigations within varying subject areas. The unit is also responsible for monitoring the municipal council's goals, providing responses to referrals and consultations, and preparing motions and citizen proposals. Many assignments involve coordination across the entire municipal organization and representing the municipality's interests in various contexts. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with an academic degree in political science or other education that the employer deems relevant. You have experience in case handling and matter preparation in a politically governed organization. You have the ability to summarize complex contexts and facts into short, accessible briefings and to occasionally present these to decision-making bodies. The role requires strong writing skills and a good understanding of municipal decision-making processes. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to handle several parallel assignments, sometimes at a high pace, and you are comfortable switching between quick initiatives and long-term tasks. You are environmentally aware and have the ability to identify trends and changes that affect operations. You are communicative and have the ability to build trusting relationships and see the value of good cooperation. Your contribution is important for the work of translating democratic decisions into practical measures and solutions for the benefit of the municipality's residents.
