We conduct research in law with a focus on operational law and international humanitarian law, defence systems, war science, leadership and management, military history, and political science. We are now seeking an analyst for the university's management support unit. This role is ideal for you if you want to work closely with senior leadership on strategic issues, conduct qualified analyses, and contribute to the development of the university's operations. The position is located in Stockholm, in the communications department, which is part of the institution's administrative support services. Duties As an analyst in management support, you will work closely with the university's leadership and contribute to the governance, development, and monitoring of operations. The role involves leading and coordinating development and change initiatives, as well as conducting qualified analyses and investigations in areas important to the university's development. You will also contribute to planning and coordinating operational management work together with other management support staff and the university director. You will prepare decision-making materials, reports, and policy documents, and contribute to environmental monitoring within higher education and research. The work also includes coordinating and preparing referrals, including analysis and preparation of supporting documents, in close collaboration with departments and administrative functions within the university. The role involves many contact points within the organization and requires strong collaboration skills, integrity, and professional conduct. What We're Looking For We seek candidates who have: a university degree at least at the master's level experience working at a university or higher education institution at least three years of experience in qualified analysis and/or administrative work experience leading or coordinating projects excellent ability to express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing in Swedish and English It is meritorious if you have: experience with management support or strategic operational development experience with referral handling in a government agency experience in research activities, for example as a researcher, doctoral student, or research administrator experience working in government administration a doctoral degree or ongoing doctoral studies Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, we see that you are organized and have a strong ability to work independently. About the Position This is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Employment at the Swedish Defence University may involve a security clearance for placement in a security classification, which includes background checks and in some cases security interviews with the Security Police. The position may involve wartime deployment. If you are already wartime-deployed in your current position at an agency and your expertise is needed in the Swedish Defence University's war organization, negotiations will take place between the relevant agency and the Swedish Defence University regarding your placement.
