Our Operations
The Authorization Operations area works in several ways to ensure that appropriate medicines reach patients. Approval of new medicines and new indications, as well as safety monitoring of approved products, are central parts of our work. Providing advice on medicine development and information about medicines are other important aspects. The Operations area has approximately 370 employees and is divided into several units, where the Efficacy and Safety unit evaluates documentation regarding the efficacy and safety of medicines. The investigations and recommendations made form the basis for decisions on whether a medicine should be approved for clinical use. We collaborate with other EU member states in the investigative work and actively contribute to committees and working groups within the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
We are now seeking an investigator for the Preclinical group.
Your Responsibilities
As a preclinical investigator, you will evaluate data from pharmacological, toxicological, and ecotoxicological studies in applications for approval of medicines for human and veterinary use. Preclinical investigators also participate in scientific advice to pharmaceutical companies and academia. The work may also include assessment of applications for clinical medicine trials and investigation of medicinal products containing medicines. The work is independent but takes place in close collaboration with pharmaceutical, pharmacokinetic, and clinical expertise in an interdisciplinary environment.
Your Background
We are looking for someone with a PhD in a preclinical relevant field, such as pharmacology, toxicology, or ecotoxicology. Experience in preclinical investigative work, regulatory work, and environmental risk assessments are merits. You have excellent ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English. Good computer skills are a requirement.
Your Personal Qualities
It is crucial that you have a strong ability to summarize and assess large amounts of information, and can create functioning solutions where you see the big picture and long-term consequences. You have good ability to apply and share your expert knowledge, to work methodically and with quality that balances the environment's requirements and needs. You are initiative-driven, enjoy working both independently and in a group, and deliver results within set time frames. We value scientific curiosity.
We place great importance on personal qualities.
