Legal Investigator

As a legal investigator, you will become an important part of the authority department within the quality unit, which is part of the administration's governance function and provides qualified support to operations. You will work alongside experienced investigators with various specialist competencies in a team led by a unit manager. The role is characterized by close collaboration and broad contact networks, where you work with colleagues and other functions throughout the administration to contribute to legally secure and well-founded decisions. We work centrally in Eskilstuna, close to both train and bus stations, and offer the possibility of remote work for part of your time. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES We are looking for someone who wants a broad and meaningful role where law, investigation, and operations development meet. You work comprehensively with investigative matters at the principal level within children and education, and you are also a key person and the administration's point of contact for legal matters. You are an important resource for the administration, providing qualified support to managers, principals, and other functions on legal issues. In the role, you monitor new and amended legislation within the education sector and translate it into practical support for the organization. You perform legal assessments, conduct investigations, and ensure quality in our authority operations. For complex matters, you collaborate with the city's legal advisors. With your expertise, you contribute to operations working lawfully and with the best interests of the child in focus. As part of your duties, you process and prepare cases for the boards within your area. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining legal expertise with operational understanding and investigative work. You need to be able to make independent assessments, but also work closely with different parts of the organization and translate legal matters into clear and practical solutions. One day might involve a specific individual case, and the next might be a comprehensive investigation, a new procedure, a training initiative, or a strategic matter at the principal level. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is analytical, action-oriented, structured, results-driven, and skilled at building good relationships. You have excellent communication skills and strong abilities to express yourself both verbally and in writing. With your pedagogical abilities, you can simplify complex matters verbally, in writing, and visually. You enjoy collaborating, building good relationships, and can handle time pressure. We see that you have a relevant university degree with legal content or a legal postgraduate qualification. You have previous experience with independent investigative and legal work. If you have previously worked with investigations, education law, or law within public administration, that is a major plus. Additional experience conducting training initiatives and handling cases in administrative courts is advantageous.
