We are now seeking an investigator who wants to contribute to developing social services for children and youth with a focus on substance use and addiction issues.
The Department for Knowledge-Driven Social Services is responsible for developing and managing knowledge support and recommendations based on the best available knowledge and applicable regulations for social services in the areas of children and youth, functional limitations, and the elderly. We also have the mandate to support the development of social services at the local and regional level in collaboration with other actors. The department's mandate also includes disseminating and implementing best available knowledge.
About the Position
We are seeking someone who wants to work both as a project manager and project team member on various assignments related to knowledge-driven development and knowledge advancement. The Unit for Knowledge on Children and Youth 2 has the mandate to offer expert knowledge in the field of children and youth, with a focus on violence against children, mental health issues, and harmful substance use and addiction. The unit also works close to operations and provides support to social services' preventive and crime prevention efforts. Several reforms are underway that affect social services' work, including the comorbidity reform, which highlights the need for support to social services for children and youth in their work with young people with harmful substance use or addiction.
You will work in a team together with other investigators and professionals within the agency as well as in collaboration with other societal actors. We are seeking someone interested in developing our working methods and approaches in close cooperation with your colleagues. You are accustomed to taking responsibility and leading projects, have good awareness of your surroundings, and follow developments in the field. You have knowledge of social services' conditions, working methods, and challenges, and understand how social services are governed, led, and interact with other societal functions.

an academic degree that the agency considers relevant for the position
good knowledge of children and youth with harmful substance use and addiction, as well as interventions provided to this target group
knowledge of multiprofessional working methods and operations
experience leading projects/development work in collaboration with other actors
the ability to express yourself very well in Swedish both in writing and in oral presentations
It is advantageous if you have
knowledge of social services' exercise of authority in children and youth services
experience working in a multiprofessional capacity with children and youth with harmful substance use and addiction
a doctoral degree in social work or another relevant field with a focus on interventions in social services for children and youth
experience working in government

To succeed in this assignment, you need to be structured, self-directed, and results-oriented, and be able to work within set timeframes and periodically under pressure. You are excellent at collaborating and building good relationships, both internally and externally.

Good to Know
The employment is a permanent position and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be based at the office at Västerbroplan in Stockholm but have the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week. Your job title will be investigator, and your placement will be in the Department for Knowledge-Driven Social Services, Unit for Knowledge on Children and Youth 2.
