Management Secretariat, Office of the Rector. Stockholm University is one of Sweden's largest universities with approximately 30,000 full-time students and 5,700 employees. We conduct strong education and research in the humanities and natural sciences, with extensive collaboration nationally and internationally. The Management Secretariat at Stockholm University, together with the Planning Secretariat and Legal Secretariat, constitutes the Office of the Rector. The Management Secretariat's overall mission is to provide direct support to university leadership in both operational management-related and university-wide strategic matters. The mission includes preparation, investigation, and coordination. The International Support Group (International Office) at Stockholm University is located within the Student Division, which consists of 150 people distributed across five sections. The International Office has 21 employees and handles international collaboration and mobility matters within the education sector. Stockholm University participates in a European university alliance called CIVIS. The collaboration consists of eleven European universities and the alliance also collaborates with six universities in Africa. Within CIVIS, universities collaborate in areas such as development of joint courses and programs, mobility for students, teachers, and staff, quality assurance of education, engagement with surrounding society, and professional development of staff. Job Responsibilities We are looking for an investigator interested in the higher education sector's international development, who wants to work with qualified tasks at a central level at an educational institution. You will partly work in a central position within CIVIS and be part of an international quality assurance team led by Stockholm University. This involves close collaboration with other member universities and to some extent with CIVIS's African partners. The quality assurance work includes both operational and strategic tasks. These include, for example: developing and implementing CIVIS-wide quality assurance processes for education and coordinating and supporting quality assurance of CIVIS transnational education programs, including expertise in external accreditation, monitoring, and assurance of education quality continuously monitoring and strategically participating in the development of quality assurance issues at the European level, such as FOREU4ALL, European Degree Label, European Approach, and ESG reporting to the European Commission and through quality assurance and monitoring participating in work to develop the alliance as a whole. You will also be part of one of the alliance's units, the Civic Engagement Unit. It focuses on coordinating various engagement projects (social innovation and impact) and their integration into the universities' operations and CIVIS education offerings. Work in these areas will also take place in close collaboration with other universities within the alliance, but a large part of the work will also involve Stockholm University's engagement in various initiatives in this field. Collaboration with external actors and Stockholm Open Lab is an important part of the assignment. The employment may also include other tasks related to Stockholm University's work with CIVIS. The employment as a whole has its organizational home in the Management Secretariat, but responsibilities are shared with the International Office in the Student Division. Quality assurance constitutes 50% of a full-time position and falls under the Management Secretariat. Tasks related to the Civic Engagement Unit/engagement amount to 30% of a full-time position and fall under the International Office. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Relevant academic education of at least three years. Multiple years of current experience working with quality assurance in higher education. Experience working with collaboration within and between academia and other societal actors, nationally and internationally. Multiple years of experience working at an educational institution or related organization. Multiple years of experience working with qualified support for education planning. Experience working in an international context, particularly with an EU focus. Documented excellent skills in written expression. Experience with English as a working language and excellent knowledge of the language. Desirable: Experience working in a European university alliance. Experience working with quality assurance at the institutional level. Multiple years of experience handling education and research matters. The tasks require an analytical, flexible, and efficient working approach, as well as the ability to work both proactively and responsively toward the external environment. Furthermore, as a person you should be responsible, have good collaborative skills, and good communication skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. About the Employment The employment is permanent and amounts to 80% of a full-time position, with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement, preferably as soon as possible.
