We are now looking for you as a teaching educator in occupational Swedish in Västerås. We are looking for you who want to become part of our team within occupational Swedish. You will teach people who need language training within specific professions. The training consists of theory, workplace-based learning and individually adapted language instruction. We strive for diversity among our employees. Job Responsibilities As a pedagogue in occupational Swedish, you teach foreign-born participants in Swedish with a connection to trade/profession. It is a job where you get more time for teaching as traditional grade administration is not included. You have opportunities to work creatively with method development and use new technology for language learning. You have educational and enjoyable collaborations with vocational teachers and professionals. To assist you in your work are coordinators and a pedagogically responsible person for the assignment. The work involves continuous dialogue with the Public Employment Service, collaboration with other actors who also conduct labor market training, and building networks with employers. It is important that you stay informed about what is happening in the labor market and in the business community. Background and Personal Qualities Relevant vocational training of at least one (1) year full-time in the occupational area* you intend to teach in, and at least two (2) years of experience in teaching within an occupational area* for newly arrived or foreign-born persons with weak knowledge in Swedish We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as creativity, flexibility, collaboration skills and a desire to develop the business. You are driven to create good results both for the individual participant and for your team. You focus on solutions and opportunities. Digital tools are a given and you see this as a tool for your own pedagogy and student learning. Merits Experience working as a complementary actor to the Public Employment Service. Work with people who have not yet acquired good knowledge of the Swedish language. Part-time The position is a fixed-term employment with the possibility of extension. Starting date by agreement.
