Then you might be the sports worker we're looking for, tasked with outreach work in wellness and physical activity. According to the sports program, which is one of the Sports and Community Services Department's guiding documents, the department's efforts should support groups that are socioeconomically disadvantaged and enable more activities. About the Position As a sports worker, you will work mobile and conduct outreach across different neighborhoods in Gothenburg with a focus on wellness, physical activity and integration. Your role is to plan, lead and implement activities that encourage movement, safety and participation. The work is varied and flexible, taking place at the Sports and Community Services Department's various facilities, outdoors on activity areas, meeting places and in collaboration with associations, schools and other stakeholders. You will work from the department's different wellness units - Wellness Northeast, Wellness Center/West and Wellness Hisingen. Your main responsibilities: Lead and plan activities. Training sessions, try-out activities, holiday activities and spontaneous and planned collaborations. Outreach work. Meet people at squares, in residential areas and at meeting places to inspire movement and guide them to the city's range of activities. Spread information. Distribute flyers and post announcements. Create content for social media. Photograph, film and publish material on Instagram. Collaborate and network. Build relationships with associations, schools and other stakeholders in the city. Administrative tasks – For example, report participant numbers and plan group training sessions and playlists. Working hours are flexible. Daytime, evenings and weekends. Qualifications We're looking for someone with a high school diploma and supplementary training in fitness, wellness or similar. You have experience leading gym and group training and are comfortable meeting people with different backgrounds. You have a B driving license and good computer skills. We consider it a merit if you have experience with similar assignments in wellness, integration and outreach work. Experience with social media and content creation is also a merit. As a sports worker, you are service-oriented and find solutions so that those we serve get the help they need and ensure they are satisfied. You are flexible and can adapt your working methods based on changed circumstances and new information. In your work, you have the ability to make your own decisions within the scope of your assignment without depending on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward.
