We are seeking a procurement specialist for the procurement unit, which is part of Region Procurement. Region Procurement has the mission to strategically and operationally coordinate, ensure quality, and develop purchasing and e-commerce processes within the region. Your Workplace Region Värmland works with category-driven purchasing, which is a strategic process-based method. Region Procurement consists of 29 people, of which 15 work within the procurement unit. We are a great team that supports each other and enjoys working together. We are part of the Planning and Finance Department, which plays a significant role in creating financial balance and is responsible for finance, business monitoring, and purchasing for Region Värmland. Region Procurement conducts procurements for all operations within Region Värmland. Some examples of areas we procure in include IT and communications, culture, property, healthcare and dental equipment, consumables and services, pharmaceuticals with related services. Your Responsibilities You will primarily work with IT-related procurements and provide support with internal legal matters. We have many legal questions in our daily work and your support will be important for the unit's development. The region has regional lawyers who are responsible for appeals, among other things. As a procurement specialist with us, you will have a consolidated project management role and will primarily lead and drive procurement projects in collaboration with operations, as well as provide advice and support within procurement and procurement law. Procurement work at Region Värmland is conducted in project form where the responsible procurement specialist independently drives the work. You collaborate with procurement specialists on the unit in procurement work and with other colleagues in the region on procurement matters. The work involves many contacts within Region Värmland. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for someone with: academic education in law or another relevant field strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish basic understanding of IT, for example systems, services, or technical environments good experience working with the Microsoft Office suite experience working in projects or in collaboration with different functions high administrative ability and experience using administrative IT systems Merits for you include: education or other relevant experience in IT and project management experience driving your own projects basic knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) practical experience with LOU or other procurement legislation experience independently driving processes within purchasing or procurement As a person, you have good collaboration skills and create and maintain trusting relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders. You work independently and have the ability to structure, prioritize, and drive your work forward. You create engagement, coordinate relevant parties, and take a natural leadership role in work toward common goals.
