We operate in an exciting but complex and evolving operational area where we strengthen the authority's crime prevention capabilities with expertise in IT crime and IT forensics. We are responsible for the Police's specialized competence in the collection, processing, and analysis of digital evidence. Our product portfolio consists mainly of purchased systems but also includes self-developed systems in this area. To succeed in our mission, we work closely with operations and collaborate within our internal IT department organization. As an employee, you have great opportunity to plan your daily work with flexible working hours and the option to work remotely 2 days per week. Location in Linköping Responsibilities As a mission leader with us, you will have a central role in planning, leading, and following up on technical assignments as well as implementing new capabilities within IT crime and IT forensics. The role involves close collaboration with operational representatives from the forensic laboratory operations and police investigation and intelligence activities. Your main responsibilities will be: Lead and coordinate technical assignments and activities within the IT department Ensure delivery according to schedule and quality requirements Coordinate resources and manage dependencies between assignments Participate in planning, follow-up, and reporting to the client Contribute to continuous improvement of work methods, processes, and routines Review technical documentation to evaluate the suitability of products for implementation in the authority's environment Qualifications This is an opportunity for you who have: Academic education that the employer considers relevant, preferably in IT, systems science, or engineering, or equivalent work experience that the employer considers relevant Several years of documented work experience in mission management or project management, preferably in the areas of technology, IT, or infrastructure that the authority deems relevant for the assignment Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English in both speech and writing Swedish citizenship It is meritorious if you also have: Experience working in complex IT environments, such as on-premises, hybrid, and cloud Understanding of IT infrastructure or system integration in areas such as networking, servers, cloud solutions, application operations, or integration between different systems Good understanding of IT security, information security, storage, access management, and various operating systems Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for your task and drives work forward in an efficient and structured manner. You thrive in a coordinating role, are good at maintaining contacts, and have good collaboration skills as the position involves broad cooperation with various actors and competencies. As a person, you are not afraid of challenges but remain motivated and have a solution-oriented and analytical approach. You are driven by learning new things and take responsibility for identifying what competencies you need to meet the organization's future requirements. Furthermore, you are skilled at communicating in a pedagogical manner both in writing and verbally. The position places high demands on security and availability.
