Norconsult is now seeking an engaged and experienced project manager for contaminated sites to our environmental department in Stockholm.
At our Stockholm office, the environmental department works on assignments for municipalities, government agencies, and property owners. We are a team of 16 employees who are committed to creating social value through sustainable solutions. You will also become part of our national expert group in contaminated sites, where you will have the opportunity to develop, take responsibility, and contribute to both knowledge exchange and the continued development of our operations.
You will work as a project manager, specialist, and case handler on both larger and smaller projects within contaminated sites.
As a project manager, you will:
Lead and drive projects within contaminated sites, from environmental technical investigations, mass management, and risk assessment to remediation and landfill investigations. In this role, you are also responsible for planning and executing assignments, ensuring high quality in our deliveries, and actively contributing to knowledge exchange and development of our working methods.
Coordinate with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to ensure that projects comply with laws, guidelines, and Norconsult's procedures.
Contribute to innovation and sustainable development in a future-oriented environment.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education in, for example, environmental science, natural science, geology, or equivalent. You have at least five years of experience working with contaminated sites and feel confident leading small teams. We would like to see that you have experience in project management or project leadership and have good knowledge of environmental legislation.
You enjoy combining practical fieldwork with analysis, reporting, and problem-solving as well as collaborating with colleagues from different technical areas. For this role, you need to be able to express yourself very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have a category B driver's license. It is advantageous if you have experience with sampling soil, groundwater, and surface water as well as knowledge of soil remediation and various treatment methods, such as in situ and ex situ.
Your passion for environmental issues and sustainable development is evident, and you have good communication and collaboration skills, are a solution-oriented person with the ability to work independently.
