Job Description Civil Preparedness Mission Leader at Svenska Lottakåren Do you want to take on a strategic responsibility where your drive contributes directly to Sweden's civil preparedness? Are you passionate about building strong relationships and leading collaboration between government agencies and volunteer organizations? Then this position might be right for you! As a Civil Preparedness Mission Leader at Svenska Lottakåren, you'll have a key role where you combine strategic vision with operational drive. We offer meaningful work where your leadership skills contribute to strengthening Sweden's preparedness and shaping the future of total defense. With us, you'll be part of a strong community where commitment, responsibility, and solidarity are central. We are driven by the conviction that Sweden's security—both civil and military—concerns everyone, and together we build a safer and more robust society. Swenska Lottakåren is a non-profit, public-benefit and politically independent voluntary defense organization that provides women with opportunities to engage in issues concerning total defense and society's security, both nationally and internationally. Since 1924, Svenska Lottakåren has worked for public engagement and support in building a safer and more secure society together. Ultimately, we are ambassadors for why peace, democracy, and human rights are worth defending. We believe that Sweden's security—both civil and military—concerns everyone, and we offer concrete opportunities for women to engage and contribute to society. About the Role You will be offered an exciting role where you contribute to strengthening government agencies' preparedness work while also developing our own organization's capacity to handle future assignments. You will report to the Operations Manager, and your position will be at our office in Stockholm, where you'll be part of a team of highly competent colleagues. You will lead the work forward, ensure structure, and create favorable conditions for collaboration with all stakeholders who may need to contribute if something happens. As a mission leader, you have overall responsibility for developing and managing civil assignments as well as your own organization's preparedness development, which also includes budget responsibility for your operations. Examples of Work Tasks: Maintain and drive dialogue with government agencies and other external stakeholders. Plan and participate in collaboration meetings with government representatives and coordinate assignments and training together with other voluntary defense organizations. Prepare materials for the organization's strategic decisions regarding training assignments, and propose, lead, and administer working groups within your responsibility area. Motivate and guide the organization's future and serving instructor teams in their continued role. Plan and follow up on instructor and course manager needs and ensure quality of course plans together with responsible subject matter experts. Participate in training and planning conferences and step in as a person on standby (TiB) when activated. We are Looking for You if You: Are a confident and clear leader with a strong ability to create structure and engagement. Have experience working with civil preparedness, preferably with a focus on staff coordination, project management, or similar. Have strong analytical skills and thrive in both strategic work and operational day-to-day activities. Are experienced in driving dialogue and collaborating with various stakeholders, both internally and externally. Share our values and want to contribute to a safer and more robust society. Meritorious Qualifications: Strong knowledge of how government agencies work with civil preparedness. Good familiarity with voluntary defense organizations, our role in society, and how we operate. Application The position is located at our office in Stockholm, is full-time and permanent with a six-month probationary period. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
