University Lecturer in Nursing Care

The nursing programs are a central part of our activities. This includes the HELP course, which runs throughout the program with a focus on mentoring, ethics, leadership, and profession. We also offer Hälsopunkten—a student-led clinic focusing on health and lifestyle—as well as a clinical training center with simulation activities. At the advanced level, we offer specialist nursing programs with specializations in district nursing and care of the elderly. In spring 2027, we are expanding our educational offerings with a specialist nursing program in psychiatric care. Through our doctoral program in nursing science, there are also excellent opportunities for academic advancement and continued development in research and education. Job Duties As a university lecturer in nursing care, your responsibilities may include teaching and examination in courses related to the nursing program, specialist nursing programs, the Master's program in Health Sciences, and doctoral education. Teaching includes various forms such as campus-based lectures, seminars, workshops, and clinical skills training in the form of scenario training. Online teaching, mentoring, examination of theses, and examiner duties in courses are also part of the position. Other responsibilities within the scope of the position include course development, administrative work as a course coordinator and examiner, conducting your own research, supervising doctoral students, various management tasks, and other relevant duties. You are expected to conduct your own research and actively apply for external and internal research funding, either independently or in collaboration with others. The position includes collaboration work, both internally and with the surrounding community. Qualifications and Desired Skills We are looking for a registered nurse with a doctoral degree in nursing science or equivalent. For employment as a university lecturer, basic eligibility requirements in accordance with chapter 4, sections 3-4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and Högskolan Kristianstad's Employment Regulations are required. You have demonstrated pedagogical skills and have taught at a university or college level in nursing science or related fields. You have also conducted research in nursing science. Of course, you have computer skills and can handle the Office package. You communicate well both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. Teaching is conducted and examined in Swedish, so you need to have very good knowledge of Swedish. Meritorious qualifications include: specialist nursing qualification, particularly in district nursing, care of the elderly, or psychiatric care ongoing research in any of the above areas experience teaching in online education work with digital learning platforms It is expected that you have higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 15 credits. If not, this can be completed within the first two years of employment. Other Information The position is a permanent full-time employment starting by mutual agreement. We typically apply a probationary period. The position is located in Kristianstad on our beautiful campus with good parking facilities and train and bus connections.
