Your Day as a University Lecturer Högskolan Dalarna offers a varied position where you, in business administration, have the opportunity to contribute to teaching, quality assurance and course development, as well as to the development of the research environment and collaboration with external actors. With us, you have considerable control over your work, and we value initiative, collaboration, and development orientation – both within the subject and across subject boundaries. The position encompasses teaching, research, and collaboration. Research comprises approximately 20% of the position. Work tasks include, for example: contributing to research development and actively seeking external research funding teaching and examination at bachelor's and advanced levels on campus and at a distance supervision and examination of degree theses course responsibility and course development participation in quality and development work in education Are You the Person We Are Looking For? According to the Higher Education Ordinance and Högskolan Dalarna's employment regulations, a person who has demonstrated pedagogical skill and completed a doctoral degree or has equivalent scientific competence in a relevant subject area is eligible to be employed as a university lecturer. In the appointment, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. You have good analytical ability, see the bigger picture, and can communicate well with people from different professional, cultural, and educational backgrounds. The work involves many contact points with students, colleagues, and external actors, which requires collaboration skills. Since the work is largely independent, you also need to be responsible, organized, and proactive. For this role, we also value the ability to contribute to the development of educational environments, research collaboration, and collegial work. As a university lecturer, you are expected to be able to teach in Swedish. This position requires: a completed doctoral degree in business administration or a related subject area pedagogical skill experience teaching at bachelor's or advanced level good ability to use digital tools as support in teaching good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English It is meritorious if you have: active research, documented through scientific publications and participation in research projects teaching experience in accounting and management accounting experience with research and development work and in seeking and obtaining research funding experience collaborating with business, the public sector, or civil society experience with management or development assignments in academia or other activities higher education pedagogy education. Upon employment, it is important to complete the BHU course within two years additional pedagogical education or experience with development work in teaching. Evaluation Criteria Högskolan Dalarna will in this recruitment conduct a qualitative overall assessment to determine which applicant has the best qualifications to fulfill the duties of the position. Equal care will be given to the assessment of pedagogical skill as to the scientific assessment according to HF chapter 4. A pedagogical test will likely be applied. Upon permanent employment of a university lecturer, an expert assessment of the applicants' qualifications and skill is conducted.
