Academy for Health and Welfare The university consists of four interdisciplinary academies and the current position is located at the Academy for Health and Welfare (HOV). Description and duties In this position, you will primarily teach in the social work program, but teaching in other programs and courses may also be included. The teaching consists mainly of teaching in practical training parts of the education, including work-based learning (VFU), personal professional development (PPU) and investigative work, but also theoretical elements and thesis supervision. Teaching is conducted primarily on campus and preferably in Swedish, but teaching in English may also occur. The duties also include conducting development work through, for example, course development. You are expected to collaborate with other teachers at Halmstad University as well as with national and international partners and actively contribute to the development of social work education. Administrative tasks are also part of the position. Assessment criteria To be eligible for employment as a university lecturer in social work, one must have a degree at advanced level and have demonstrated teaching skills through, for example, supervision, lectures and pedagogical development work. For employment as a university lecturer, completed education in higher education pedagogy is required, or you as an applicant have otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge. Alternatively, if you get the position, you must participate in a higher education pedagogical education arranged by the University within two years of starting employment. Other assessment criteria For this position, the eligibility requirement is also: a social work degree and a master's degree in social work or a related field good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing several years of experience in practical social work, where the experience is assessed to be current and relevant in relation to the duties of the position Experience in practical social work within government authority or preventive social work is meritorious.
