About Unika Smedshagen Smedshagen is a short-term residential facility under LSS that serves adults in care category 1. The facility is located in a quiet residential area in Hässelby and offers a safe, structured, and homely environment for guests who need recovery, respite care, or training in independence. The residential facility is located on the ground floor and consists of five separate bedrooms, two large common living rooms, a kitchen, and two outdoor patios. The premises are adapted for guests with both extensive and less extensive support needs. Smedshagen actively works with participation – guests can influence activities through regular residence meetings. The facility also has its own bus, which makes it possible to participate in social activities such as going to the cinema, restaurant visits, bowling, picnics, or leisure activities. In the nearby area there are green spaces, playgrounds, and forests, which makes it easy to go on walks and excursions. The residence also offers quieter activities such as crafts, games, movie time, and shared meals. About the Role of Support Assistant As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support the residents in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, and always use their personal implementation plan as a starting point. We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, where we start from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for residents to achieve as much independence as possible and be able to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affective approach to create security and predictability in the residents' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the facility's resources and budget. Qualifications You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive way, and enjoy working together with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: Very good ability in Swedish, both spoken and written. Good computer skills, experience with documentation. Experience working in care and support. Secondary education such as child and leisure program, care and support program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or higher education in a relevant field. Meritorious if you also have: Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-affective approach. Worked with complex support needs. Employment Terms Employment type: permanent position. Probation applies for the first 6 months. Work percentage: 86.94%. Working hours: Part-time, 37 hours per week, daytime. Start date: By agreement; we view it positively if you can start soon.
