About the position Do you want to make a difference for our young adults? Aröd's HVB provides housing and support for young adults aged 18-20 who are experiencing acute homelessness. We have 12 apartments where our residents can be actively using substances and/or struggling with mental health issues. Our goal is to support and motivate these young individuals toward independent living through daily contact and close collaboration. Your responsibilities include working with the resident and social secretary to develop implementation plans with goals and activities that promote their opportunities for increased independence. Beyond that, we work to map the individual's resources and needs so we can motivate and support their path to independent housing and living. Your ability to be attentive, curious, and motivating will be a valuable asset in daily work. We work individually, which means we see what is unique in each person and create opportunities and provide support based on each person's individual needs. We work closely with the placing social secretary, and the work also includes collaboration with other authorities and professional networks. All work is carefully documented in our digital system Treserva. We work in a team-oriented environment where we have shared case management. Together with colleagues, we plan and implement interventions tailored to the individual's needs and the social services mandate. Our methods include Motivational Interviewing (MI), low-arousal approach (LAB), relapse prevention conversations, and trauma-informed care (TMO). No two days are the same for us, and we are always prepared for unforeseen situations and thrive with the ability to quickly adapt depending on the situation. We also help each other and carry out practical work tasks such as cleaning our own spaces, and help our residents with their own households as needed. You will become part of a skilled work team with youth secretaries, on-call and night staff, a manager, and a unit director. Working hours are primarily during daytime, but you will also work certain evenings and every third weekend. Our facilities at Övre Eriksberg are easily accessible by public transportation, and we have management available 24/7. About you You have a degree in social work or another at least 3-year university or college degree that the employer deems equivalent. To take on this role, you must have at least one year of work experience in social work. A B-class driver's license is required. It is meritorious if you have work experience in social work with young people or people with substance abuse issues and/or mental health problems. It is also considered meritorious if you have training in MI, low-arousal approach, relapse prevention conversations, and trauma-informed care. You are friendly and helpful to others even in stressful situations. You show respect for everyone you meet at work. You are welcoming and positive. You work so that every young adult at Aröd's HVB gets what that person needs. You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect. You understand the shared mandate and work to make it as good as possible. You take responsibility for your work tasks and the group's work tasks. You think about those we serve and their best interests. You do your best to complete all work tasks properly and follow up on how it went. You are calm and confident in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You can resist pressure from others, set boundaries, and say no when needed. You are clear in your professional role and act professionally in situations where others question you or make unreasonable demands. You take responsibility for your work tasks and the group's work tasks. You think about those we serve and their best interests.
