The Individual and Family Care Administration in Sandviken Municipality has a functionally organized structure. Within the administration's area of responsibility are child and youth care, addiction care, financial assistance and family law as well as handling and supervision according to the Alcohol Act. The administration has a well-developed open care for children, young people and their families as well as for adults. We actively work on implementing Signs of Safety in all parts of the administration.

Sandviken Municipality's youth housing is aimed at young people who for various reasons cannot live at home with their parents. The activity consists of an HVB (home-like care) section with eight places for young people between 13 and 20 years old and a supported housing section with eight places for young people between 16 and 20 years old. Our mission is to contribute to high-quality local solutions by providing emergency, assessment and treatment places in social services youth cases.
At the youth housing, we offer you a dynamic and developing work environment where you get the opportunity to help shape the activity together with an engaged and supportive team. WORK TASKS
We are a youth housing facility that is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment for young people. With Signs of Safety at the center, we work to strengthen young people's own resources and create sustainable solutions together with them.
Your role at the youth housing is to:
• Based on care and implementation plans, plan and implement treatment work together with the placed young people
• Guide and support young people in an individually adapted way in their daily activities
• Take responsibility for practical work with young people and together with your colleagues ensure that assessment or treatment planning is carried out
• Work according to the methods MI, trauma-informed care and low-arousal approach
• Collaborate internally and externally and participate in the development of working methods together with your manager and colleagues
You are part of a team with specialist social workers and group leaders with assessment responsibility who together deliver assessments based on assignments from social workers. The work involves contact with guardians and other parts of the young person's private and professional network. You assist the group leader in collecting the information needed for the assessment. The time with young people during their placement has clear goals and purposes, which means that you perform structured activities during work shifts together with young people individually or in groups. As a contact person, you will have special responsibility for a couple of the young people living at the facility. Ongoing documentation for follow-up of placements is also included. An important part of the assignment is to motivate young people to maintain contact and participate in activities with you and other adults at the facility.
The position involves work with evening, weekend and on-call services as well as a number of work shifts with overnight duty.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
• Are passionate about working with young people and their families
• Have relevant higher education (at least two years of post-secondary education) in social work or equivalent
• Have experience working with young people in vulnerable life situations, preferably within HVB, supported housing, social services, or other treatment-oriented activities
• Have a very good ability to build trust and cooperation with young people and their network
• Are driven, responsible and have the ability to see the whole picture
• Have a positive and solution-focused approach
A category B driving license is a requirement.
