The Culture and Recreation Department is responsible for the municipality's cultural and recreational activities, and our main task is to help people make the most of and develop their interests in culture, recreation, and sports. We serve all residents of the municipality, but children and young adults are a prioritized target group. DUTIES As a youth coach, you work to create safe, inclusive, and developmental environments for young people by planning activities, building relationships, and serving as a positive role model. The foundation of the activities should be based on youth participation. The work is promoting in nature and takes place in close collaboration with colleagues and other professional actors. Main duties: • Plan, organize, and lead activities • Initiate and develop youth participation • Strengthen and support young people's inherent resources • Collaboration • Communication QUALIFICATIONS We believe you need the ability to build relationships with young people in a secure and trustworthy manner. You have experience leading, motivating, and inspiring individuals and groups. The work requires personal maturity and a passion for working with young people. We place high demands on social competence and appropriate values when working with young people, as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to create participation and engagement. We see that you are flexible and self-directed in your work and can adapt to the needs of young people. We are looking for someone who: • Has a 3-year recreation leader education or equivalent higher education that the employer deems equivalent It is a merit if you have: • Worked with KEKS • Led youth-produced projects • Have a background in sports and health We will place great emphasis on personal suitability and conduct a comprehensive assessment of your overall competencies. Requirement: B driving license. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-01 Start date by agreement, end date: 2027-09-01.
