Hemnovia is now seeking an engaged youth counselor on an hourly basis for our open care services in Halmstad! About the Position The role of youth counselor involves close work with a child/young person who needs continuous practical and emotional support. The position is relationship-based work where the focus is on: Providing the child/young person with daily support and guidance in everyday life Actively working to prevent norm-breaking behavior/criminality Spending time in the child/young person's environments and engaging in activities together Maintaining close dialogue with parents/foster families Documenting and following up Collaborating with the assigning organization Scope The position initially involves six hours per week distributed across two occasions, but may be adjusted based on needs and development over time. The work involves both individual sessions with the young person and close collaboration with parents/foster families, the assigning organization, and Hemnovia. We Are Looking for You If You: Have a degree in social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or equivalent relevant education Have experience working with children/young people with norm-breaking behavior Are secure, clear, and relationship-building Can work independently and in a structured manner Are flexible and have the capacity for continuous and frequent contact Meritorious Experience in youth counseling/family treatment in open care Experience with motivational work (e.g., MI) We Offer A meaningful and developmental position working with a young person in need of support Flexible working hours within the given framework Collaboration with an experienced organization that provides support when needed Why Hemnovia?
