About the Workplace
At the Resource Unit, you'll be welcomed to a positive and development-oriented operation. Our unit functions as Region Västmanland's internal staffing unit and provides personnel to workplaces that temporarily need help due to absences or needs. We step in where we're needed most, and that's what makes the job so exciting. No two days are the same. We employ nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries.
You're welcomed to a workplace with good team spirit where you as an employee are important to us. As an employee with us, you'll receive region-wide delegations within eight areas. These areas are NEWS checks, venous blood sampling, capillary blood sampling, enteral feeding, ECG, bladder catheterization, patient ID marking, and tracheostomy care. After six months, and when training and delegation requirements are met, a salary supplement is provided.

Work Tasks
Working as a nursing assistant/care assistant at the Resource Unit involves flexible work where you work in different departments and clinics. Assignments vary from single day work to longer assignments with the same client. Some days you'll have the opportunity to work together with colleagues from the Resource Unit. We have a fixed rotating schedule where you have some opportunity to influence how you want to work.
We work primarily at the hospital in Västerås within somatic and psychiatric care, but also have assignments at hospitals in Fagersta, Sala, and Köping. We welcome applicants from these areas as well.
With us, you're offered an education package consisting of both e-learning and practical training such as delegations in blood sampling, enteral feeding, and more. Together we'll develop the introduction you need to feel confident in your role. As an employee with us, you also participate in the Resource Unit's regular workplace meetings and planning days.
Qualifications
We're looking for you who have a certified nursing assistant education and have obtained proof of protected professional title. You need to have at least one year of experience working in the profession. If you have experience working in acute care and psychiatric care, that's a merit. We also see it as an advantage if you have experience or knowledge in our delegation areas and have worked in the Cosmic medical record system. You need to have good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written, as this is a prerequisite for ensuring patient-safe care. Since the work can sometimes be physically demanding, we see that you have good physical fitness.

To thrive with us, it's important that you're flexible and enjoy working with varied tasks and within different operations. The work requires an ability to remain calm and focused even in stressful situations. You're independent, reliable, and express a positive attitude toward the work and the operation. Since we often work in teams, we see that you have good ability to collaborate and communicate with others in a receptive way. You have an empathetic and professional approach to patients, relatives, and colleagues.
Terms of Employment
Employment: Permanent employment, temporary position
Working hours: Day, evening, and weekend shifts

Interviews are planned to take place in person at the Regional Building, entrance 4, in Västerås during week 35 (Thursday August 27 and Friday August 28), week 36 (Monday August 31 and Wednesday September 2), and week 37 (Monday September 7).
