We are now seeking two new colleagues. OO is a highly specialized operating department where operations are conducted throughout the week between 07:00 and 21:30. At OO, we conduct both elective and acute surgery. The operation is divided into teams: shoulder and arm, neck/spine, and lower extremities. As an employee here, you work within all teams, but with the opportunity to specialize and participate in development work within a team. OO has approximately 35 percent planned and 65 percent acute operations. Various types of orthopedic procedures are performed, ranging from routine operations to advanced spinal and trauma surgery. We look forward to moving to new, beautiful premises in the fall of 2025. This gives all OO staff the opportunity to influence and develop the operation. DUTIES As a nursing assistant at Orthopedic Operating Services (OO), you are an important part of the operating room team and contribute to creating safe and secure care for orthopedic patients. You work closely with the anesthesia nurse and assist before, during, and in connection with the management of anesthesia, where your competence and commitment are an important part of the patient's care process. In this role, you are responsible for preparing the patient and handling instruments and equipment for anesthesia and surgery. Participation in specific patient setups also occurs in your work. Additionally, you perform documentation in existing operating programs and restoration of operating rooms after completed operations. Your duties also include administrative work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied according to the previous or current program structure. If you studied according to the previous program structure, we welcome you with a focus on acute care/healthcare. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have experience working in operating activities and/or with orthopedic patients. We would also like you to have at least two years of experience working in inpatient care. Specialist training in operating or acute care is also an advantage. To thrive in the role, it is very important that you enjoy working in a team and contribute to smooth collaboration even when the pace is high.
